About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Engineer to join our team at Whitehaven Coal. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to our mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and plan mining operations, including overburden removal and coal stockpiling.
- Develop and implement effective controls to ensure safe and efficient mining practices.
- Collaborate with surveyors and geologists to reconcile modeled quantities with mining outcomes.
- Manage competing priorities to meet production budgets and schedules.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in open-cut coal mine engineering.
- Strong relationship management skills with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in mine planning software, including Vulcan and SPRY.
