Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a Economics and Business Studies Teacher.

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching HSC Economics/Business Studies and/or IB Business Management to Years 11 and 12, delivering Stage 5 elective Commerce and contributing to the HSIE curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience in teaching HSC Economics/Business Studies and/or IB Business Management, with the ability to teach Stage 5 elective Commerce.

They should also possess excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities, as well as confidence in using technology to enhance learning.

In addition, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a commitment to the school's Christian mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Teach HSC Economics/Business Studies and/or IB Business Management to Years 11 and 12, deliver Stage 5 elective Commerce, and contribute to the HSIE curriculum.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist with developing and implementing curriculum materials for Economics and Business Studies.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Conduct assessments and provide reports on student progress in Economics and Business Studies.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Teaching Qualifications: Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Education).
  • Subject Expertise: Have expertise in Economics and Business Studies, including recent developments in secondary pedagogy.
  • Experience: Possess recent experience in teaching HSC Economics/Business Studies and/or IB Business Management.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities.
  • Technology Skills: Be confident in using technology to enhance learning.
