International Education Advisor

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Student Adviser to join our team at our CBD campus. This is a challenging and varied role that provides opportunities for growth and development in the international education industry.
">Key Responsibilities:- Support students on-campus by advising on aspects such as cultural acclimatization and general academic issues.
- Support student accommodation requests (i.e. Homestay and student residence).
- Provide a special duty of care for under-age students with regular check-ins.
- Prepare for new student intake (ELICOS & VET).
- Facilitate academic and financial intervention and problem-solving (if required).
- Support agents by answering phone calls, responding to questions about current student status and providing course information.
- Act as a point of contact for walk-in students, conducting school tours and ensuring successful conversion.
- Facilitate student extensions.
- Issue Letter of Acceptance and COEs and work with the school's database system.
- Answer the phone, transfer calls and take messages.
- Help students with questions and problems and/or lead them to the correct department.
- Update PRISMS site with relevant student information.
- Assist the manager & academic director with assigned tasks.
- Support reception (if required).
- Attend general staff and team meetings and training sessions as assigned.
- Ad-hoc National Student Services tasks (to be determined).
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Experience working in an international college and/or school.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent technical skills (database, Microsoft 365, PRISMS).
- A passion for education and sensitivity to the cultural and language issues facing our overseas students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
- Japanese Speaker is a requirement for this position.
This is a full-time position (38 hours per week) working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 8pm. The position is based at our Sydney campus and does not have a working from home option. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
