Finance Officer Role

At Marriott International, we're seeking a skilled Finance Officer to join our team. As a key member, you'll play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate financial input for our reporting timetables.

This position is ideal for individuals with a diploma in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience. You'll be responsible for conducting daily accounting tasks, maintaining a high level of service, and working efficiently in accordance with our hotel's policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in the daily accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate input for reporting timetables.
  2. Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Banking & Cashiering, and experience in a fast-paced finance team.
  3. Conducting duties in a courteous, safe, and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel's policies and procedures.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Diploma qualifications or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in finance or accounting.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Capability to identify solutions and undertake quality control activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, effective collaboration skills, and a positive outlook on challenges.
  • Competence in using systems such as Excel, and familiarity with finance management systems like Peoplesoft is highly regarded.
  • Hospitality industry experience is preferred but not essential.
  • A police check is required for this role.
