About the Environment & Planning Team
The Environment & Planning team has profound industry knowledge in all matters related to environmental and planning law, serving local councils, developers, architects, town planners, and more.
The practice offers comprehensive advice on environmental assessments and approvals, climate change issues, native vegetation, native title and land rights, compulsory acquisitions, environmental investigations, and defending against environmental prosecutions.
Position Overview
The Sydney office is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Lawyer to become part of the Environment & Planning team.
This role presents an opportunity to engage in a diverse range of dynamic and stimulating work, including:
- Collaborating with partners and senior lawyers to meet client objectives and deadlines
- Conducting research on legislation and case law
- Drafting legal advice and planning agreements
- Assisting in the management of litigation matters, including various Land and Environment Court proceedings
- Providing legal advice and representation to clients in securing and implementing planning and environmental approvals
- Evaluating environmental impacts
- Performing planning and environmental due diligence.

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should be a Lawyer with 2-4 years of post-admission experience in environmental and planning law. Additionally, you should possess:
- A strong passion and interest in Environmental and Planning law, particularly in litigation
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills
- A solid academic background
- Effective time management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to work collaboratively within a team.
