About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing projects ranging in size and complexity, with a focus on fire protection systems for various types of buildings.
- Design and execute projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and standards.
- Participate in the design development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems or products for building and infrastructure fire systems.
- Lead a design team through the entire project life cycle, supporting the team in client meetings, collaborating with other disciplines and consultants, coordinating site service and electrical requirements, and performing field reviews.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience providing fire protection engineering in the building industry.
- A Bachelor Engineering Degree from the Australian Qualifications Framework.
- Relevant NSW Design Practitioner Registrations for Fire Systems.
- The ability to read architectural, structural, and building services drawings with minimal supervision.
- Good knowledge of construction phase monitoring of completed designs.
