Job Overview:

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, serving and clearing meals in line with food preparation schedules. This will involve working collaboratively with colleagues to provide a positive dining experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation and Service:
  • Prepares and plates food according to dietary needs and serves meals in a timely manner.
  • Maintains high standards of food presentation and ensures that meals are served hot and appetising.
  • Client Interaction:
  • Delivers excellent customer service and maintains positive relationships with residents.
  • Considers client lifestyles and personal choice when interacting with residents.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Maintains the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
  • Ensures compliance with organisational policies and procedures related to health and safety.
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Participates in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Contributes to a positive and supportive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks.
  • Previous kitchen/food preparation experience within the aged care industry.
  • Certificate in cooking or food preparation (Desirable).
