Chandler Macleod is seeking a highly skilled Support Officer – Vessel Operations to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing critical support in the triaging of incident reports, maintaining accurate and complete incident database records, and assisting in the analysis of maritime incident data.
Key Responsibilities- Incident Triage and Reporting: Provide support for the triaging of all incident reports received by the Agency, ensuring accurate and timely verification of incident severity classification.
- Incident Database Management: Create and maintain incident database records, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and code incidents using the Occurrence Framework to reflect what happened in the incident.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract and assist with the analysis of Agency's maritime incident data in combination with inspection and investigation data from various systems, and prepare regular and ad hoc internal and external incident data reports as required.
- Communication and Briefing: Provide timely briefs and information to Operations management, and assist with the development, review, and update of internal and external guidance material relevant to Vessel Operations.
- Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and complete records.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated competency using Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly Excel, and general understanding of records management systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
