We are seeking a skilled Disability Support Specialist to join our team in Southern Perth. As a Disability Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering interventions to NDIS participants aged 0-8 and their families.

The Role

This full-time or part-time position involves delivering therapy to NDIS participants in Rockingham and surrounding areas. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and community centres to develop tailored intervention plans that drive life-changing outcomes.

Your Everyday

As a Disability Support Specialist at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. Your tasks may include:

  • Conducting home visits to assess and communicate with families and children
  • Working with preschool teachers to support children's motor skills development
  • Coaching parents on finding schools that suit their child's needs
  • Collaborating with Speech Pathologists and families to enhance communication and social skills
  • BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH PARTICIPANTS AND THEIR SUPPORTS
  • Documenting and billing sessions through our online participant management system

Requirements

To succeed as a Disability Support Specialist, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and registration (Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist or Educator)
  • Minimum 12 months experience working with children aged 0-8 and their families
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork ability
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • A valid Australian drivers license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Childrens Check

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications
