About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as a Responsible Manager. This role will be responsible for the operation and regulatory compliance of the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) Part 145 Maintenance Organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all maintenance required to be carried out, including defect rectification, is carried out to the standards and requirements of the DASRs and the BDA Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) in both Nowra, NSW and Oakey, QLD.
  • Work closely with the Quality and Safety Managers to support the quality and safety management systems.
  • Investigate and coordinate any action resulting from the quality compliance monitoring function.

Requirements

  • The ability to achieve Chartered status through Engineering Australia
  • At least 5 years' experience working in the aviation engineering and maintenance environment
  • Possess aircraft maintenance engineer qualifications and have a knowledge of and experience working with Maintenance Management Systems is highly desirable
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
