Project Management Leader Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management professional to lead our project delivery team in Hobart.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of projects or programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in planning, scoping, stakeholder engagement, risk management, issues management, resource allocation, quality assurance, status reporting, project evaluation, and closure.

They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with service providers and members of the construction industry.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have a current full car driver licence and be able to provide evidence of this prior to appointment.

This is an opportunity for an experienced project management professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple projects or programs simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, scopes, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including service providers, contractors, and members of the construction industry.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Provide regular status reports and briefing papers to stakeholders, detailing project progress and any deviations from planned outcomes.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration and open communication among team members, ensuring seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field such as project management, construction management, financial management, or business administration.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a project management role, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Current full car driver licence and ability to provide evidence of this prior to appointment.
