About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tree Officer to join our Parks and Reserves team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining public trees throughout the City, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with the community to provide high-quality customer service, even in challenging situations.
  • Investigate and respond to public enquiries regarding City trees or green spaces.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects align with the City's objectives and budget.
  • Develop and supervise the implementation of annual tree maintenance and planting programs.
  • Manage contractors and ensure that arboriculture work meets the City's standards.
  • Oversee tree asset management, including inspections, data management, and condition assessments.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualifications in Arboriculture with experience in managing tree works, including risk assessments, valuation methods, and contractor management.
