Emotional Support in Emergency Operations

Auxiliary Firefighters play a vital role in emergency service operations, providing critical support to our firefighters and the community.

About the Role

As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be part of a team that responds to fire and other emergency incidents. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Attending emergency incidents and training sessions
  • Promoting community safety and emergency preparedness
  • Developing and maintaining competencies through regular drills and training courses
  • Maintaining required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
Key Requirements

The following requirements must be met:

  • Having Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Living within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station
  • Obtaining Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies
