Salary: $70,000 - $120,000 per annum

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Infantry Soldier to join our team as part of the Royal Australian Infantry Corps (RAInf). This role involves working in a cohesive unit to locate and gather intelligence from enemy forces through patrolling and surveillance. As an Infantry Soldier, you will be responsible for capturing or killing the enemy, holding ground or repelling attack using various equipment and tactics at your disposal. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar situations and environments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Locate enemies by gathering intelligence through patrol and surveillance.
  2. Seize and hold ground from enemy forces.
  3. Engage in close combat and apply lethal and non-lethal force.
  4. Participate in offensive and defensive operations.
  5. Provide security for Army units and vital assets.
  6. Conduct humanitarian assistance missions.
  7. Participate in international training, advise and assist missions.

Training and Progression
New recruits will undergo rigorous Initial Employment Training (IET) to learn the necessary skills and knowledge required for this role. Throughout their career, Infantry Soldiers may specialise in various areas, including driving, vehicle crew commanding, section leading, mortarman roles, signalling, sniping, direct fire support, reconnaissance, scouting, machine gunning, and combat communication. With experience and additional training, they can progress to more senior positions within the army.
