The Role

We seek an innovative and effective leader with outstanding interpersonal skills to fill the role of Head of Learning Area – Mathematics. The ideal candidate will be a growth mindset enthusiast with attributes of resilience and determination, driven to develop a team that strives for excellence in mathematics practice and student outcomes.

As a member of the School Leadership Team, you will contribute to implementing the school's Business Plan through participative decision making, while promoting the school's vision and strategic directions. You will drive improvement by providing proactive leadership that is collaborative, inspiring, and supportive.

Leading by example, you should model high aspirations and expectations of staff and students. The successful applicant will have the ability to lead change and innovation, supported by your capacity to use evidence-based data to inform decision making.

You will be responsible for analyzing performance data related to the Mathematics learning area and developing, implementing, and analyzing improvement plans, both strategic and operational. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing your team of teachers by providing curriculum leadership and working collaboratively to ensure quality teaching is delivered to meet the needs of all students.
