About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer, Power Systems to lead the development, execution, and commissioning of transmission systems across HVAC and HVDC. The successful candidate will work closely with our project management team to ensure the project's success.

  • Lead the development of technical support for feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed design, and specifications.
  • Develop and deliver engineering plans, scope statements, and technology selections.
  • Collaborate with systems study engineers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and consultants to assess HVDC system performance and impact on the transmission grid.
  • Develop and review technical specifications for HVDC transmission systems, ancillary equipment, and services according to international standards, best practices, and industry standards.
Key Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in OHTL, HVDC systems, MV/HV AC transmission systems, including full-cycle end-to-end project development and delivery.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with development and project management teams.
  • Strong understanding of VSCs, switchgear, and infrastructure, with experience operating as a key interface with domestic and international teams.
  • A strong track record of developing constructive relationships with internal and external partners, stakeholders, and government corporations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including experience in project control methods, key metric reporting, and value improvement practices.
