About This Role

Data architects play a pivotal role in designing, building and implementing scalable data solutions that drive significant business value.

As a key member of the analytics team, you will collaborate closely with data and analytics professionals, program teams, management, and stakeholders to deliver precise technical specifications that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities include explaining data engineering options to stakeholders, designing and operating scalable data architecture solutions, and coordinating junior colleagues or team members to ensure structure and focus on achieving team goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and operate scalable on-premises or cloud data architecture solutions.
  • Develop data flow diagrams for data pipelines and consumption design.
Required Skills:
  • Familiarity with data pipeline development technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS Kinesis, Spark, Airflow.
  • Proficiency in transformation of large complex data sets from source systems to target platforms using one or more data engineering or data platform technologies.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Ability to introduce innovative ways of organising, managing and integrating data to ensure its quality and ability to be used as a distinctive asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present information with purpose, clarity and impact.
