About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Data Protection Lead - Asia Pacific to join our team. As a key member of our data protection team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a data protection strategy across the Asia Pacific region.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Data Protection Strategy Development: Develop and implement a data protection strategy to protect sensitive information.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations in Australia, China, and Japan, and identify and mitigate data protection risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration on data protection matters.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Certification in Data Protection preferred.
- Knowledge of interpreting and applying global data protection laws and regulations.
- Experience working with regulators and regulatory agencies (preferred).
