**Overview of the Role**

As a Care Assistant in our Community Supports Services, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with disabilities to develop skills and live fulfilling lives.

Our programs cater to individuals with diverse needs, including those who use wheelchairs and require additional medical support.

You will engage with clients through activities such as cooking, music, crafts, leisure sports, reading, singing, and more, fostering positive relationships and promoting their independence.

In addition to client support, this role may involve providing in-home assistance, which requires flexibility with afternoon and night shifts.

**About You**

  • Confident in building strong connections with clients from diverse backgrounds, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, prioritizing tasks and demonstrating problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible, with availability for shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook, with basic computer literacy.
  • Holder of a valid Australian Driver's License and Working With Children Check.
  • Able to pass a National Criminal History Check and maintain full COVID vaccination status.

**Salary and Benefits**

We offer an attractive Award Level 2 salary package of $33.41-$36.46 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, along with flexible working hours on a fortnightly roster.

Salary Packaging Options are available, including an Entertainment/Meal Card, allowing you to allocate up to $2,650 of your pre-tax income per year (if eligible).

Negotiated extra leave is also available, enabling you to purchase additional annual leave or receive payment as a savings incentive (if eligible).
