We are seeking a skilled and motivated Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, identifying business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain customer relationships to best support the customer and selling of products in assigned areas.
- Develop and implement regular customer call plans.
- Highlight promotional materials, new products, and specials to customers.
- Monitor and manage inventory for optimal line fill and stock turns.
- Ensure all customers in allocated territories are seen on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly cycle.
- Prepare monthly sales reports on customer spend using Phocas reporting.
- Daily usage and maintenance of the customer CRM program.
- Ensure Account Manager targets are met or exceeded along with gross margin/profit.
About You:
- Proven experience in a similar sales role where you have built, grown, and maintained strong customer relationships.
- A background in the automotive electrical and/or mechanical field is preferred.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to make new contacts, plus proven negotiating and conflict resolution experience.
- Must have a full current driver's license (no restrictions).
- This role will require regular monthly travel (approx. 3-4 times per month).
