Green Space Caregiver Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled gardener to join our team in Ballarat. The role involves the care and maintenance of plants, flowers, and gardens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Care for various plant species, including weeding, planting, pruning, staking, raking, and spreading mulch.
  • Conduct weed and pest control by spraying as required.
  • Operate zero-turn, push mowers & brush cutters safely and efficiently.
  • Perform other general gardening duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of experience in gardening.
  • Relevant horticulture qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
  • The ability to perform physical labor with physical fitness.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team.
  • A high level of safety awareness.
  • A current driver's license is required.
  • The ability to pass a police check and drug screen.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel cap boots and a hi-vis long-sleeved shirt is expected.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate of $36-$37.
  • Full-time hours, Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3:30pm.
