Patient Safety Officer
DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Officer to join our team. As a Patient Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient safety and clinical quality within our organization.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to lead high-level leadership in patient safety and clinical quality. You will champion strategies that enhance care, promote collaboration and lead improvements across complex systems.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading investigations and analyzing clinical safety trends
- Preparing detailed reports and driving risk mitigation
- Educating staff to foster a positive safety culture
- Collaborating with key stakeholders and clinicians
- Championing quality improvement and future innovation
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- An undergraduate degree in health or a related field
- Significant recent clinical experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent work experience in complex healthcare settings relevant to clinical governance
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of clinical governance, patient safety and clinical quality improvement, including incident management processes
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to act as a professional adviser to senior clinicians and managers
- Experience in leading or implementing patient safety systems in line with MoH Incident Management Policy
- High level communication skills in interacting effectively with clinical staff, senior managers and external stakeholders
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team managing competing priorities in a timely and efficient manner
