About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Case Management Officer to join our team at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the Case Management Unit within a correctional centre to maximise inmates' opportunities for interventions to reduce reoffending.
You will work closely with other departments and external service providers to ensure seamless reintegration of offenders into the community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective case management strategies to reduce reoffending.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members to enhance their case management skills.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and address key issues affecting offender rehabilitation.
- Conduct risk/needs assessments and develop high-quality case plans.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in case management and offender supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
