About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at Veolia in Port Kembla. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and reliability of our heavy industrial and commercial waste vehicles, plant, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair a variety of heavy vehicles, including inspecting for operational readiness and identifying potential issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks and develop apprentices in a supportive environment.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet safety and environmental regulations while promoting a proactive approach to risk management.

Requirements

  • A trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle/Heavy Machinery Mechanic is essential, accompanied by previous experience servicing heavy vehicles.
  • A strong focus on safety, a Heavy Rigid Licence, and excellent problem-solving skills are also required.
