We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Financial Accountant to manage financial accounting activities across non-operating entities.

The ideal candidate will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial data to support strategic decision-making.

This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and requires preparing accurate Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets while maintaining compliance and driving improvements in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, reconcile, and consolidate monthly BAS returns (GST, Fuel Excise, PAYG, FBT, etc.) for group companies, ensuring timely submission to the authorities
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of annual FBT returns
  • Financial Analysis: Support the preparation of yearly tax schedules and tax-effect accounting
  • Reporting: Coordinate and prepare accurate monthly financial reports
  • Financial Monitoring: Monitor and analyse the financial results of the entities
  • Budgeting: Preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of the general ledger and intercompany accounts
  • Year-End Activities: Assist with year-end account preparation and resolve any audit-related issues
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, supported by a professional qualification such as CPA or CA.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting, with a solid track record of accuracy and compliance.
  • Skills: Prior experience with statutory reporting and group consolidations is advantageous; familiarity with ERP systems is a strong plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly to stakeholders.
