About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Executive Assistant to join our Executive Department at Shangri-La Cairns. As the right-hand person to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support and ensuring the seamless execution of office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide high-quality administrative support to the General Manager and other members of the Executive Committee, including coordination of meetings, emails, and correspondence.
  • Diary Management: Proactively manage the General Manager's diary, ensuring timely and effective coordination of meetings and appointments.
  • Travel Arrangements: Coordinate domestic and international travel for team members, including visa arrangements, flight bookings, and accommodation arrangements.
  • Communication: Act as a professional point of contact for internal and external clients and guests, providing exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Meeting Support: Collate meeting papers, prepare PowerPoint presentations, and take minutes as required.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform various administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, photocopying, database maintenance, and other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Hotel Experience: Previous experience in a hotel environment is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: High level of organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confidentiality: High level of confidentiality, with the ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive information.
