Key Responsibilities:
  • Action cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas, and scullery to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate dish washing machine as per instruction manual to ensure efficient and effective cleaning.
  • General pantry duties and maintaining cleanliness of pantry, fridges, and freezers to prevent cross-contamination and maintain food safety.
  • Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations to prevent the spread of illness.
  • Prepare mise-en-place as required to support the culinary team in delivering exceptional dishes.
  • Promote a safe workplace by recognizing hazards and promoting general WHS practices to ensure the well-being of all staff.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Understanding of food safety requirements and ability to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  • MUST have flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings and weekends, to meet the needs of our guests.
