Senior Surveyor Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our team working on major infrastructure projects.

  • This is a key role in which you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, utilizing leading-edge equipment and technologies.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting set outs as per Area Manager/Foreman instructions.
  • Undertaking surveying responsibilities with the opportunity to use advanced equipment and technologies.
  • Communicating how survey set out is to be used by construction crews.
  • Liaising with Foreman regarding site activities and ensuring required survey information is in place for the next activity.
  • Liaising with Project Managers and/or Consultants to resolve design conflicts.
  • Maintaining digital data and document control as per company standards.
  • Liaising with Area Manager and Project Manager to ensure current revisions are utilized.
  • Conducting site visits to ensure the client is supported by correct technologies.
  • Overseeing equipment maintenance.
  • Conducting Quality Assurance and Quality Control audits.
  • Undertaking computations and required checks to create set out data and 3D models.
  • Maintaining rework and variation registers and generating monthly progress claims.
  • Training Junior Staff on survey computations and digital data management.
  • Conducting day-to-day survey resourcing.
  • Creating and submitting quotes to clients.
Requirements

To be successful, you must:

  • Have previous working experience in infrastructure or major road projects.
  • Hold relevant qualifications in either survey, spatial science, and/or geometrics.
  • Demonstrate experience gained across subdivision and land development projects.
  • Demonstrate exposure to using total stations and GPS equipment and machine guidance technology.
  • Demonstrated ability in proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
  • Be outcomes-focused and have the ability to plan and keep organized.
  • Have a customer-focused mindset.
  • An attitude that engages all individuals by way of clear communication and effective interaction.
