Job Description

Certis Security Australia is a leading provider of security services across Australia. With over 3,000 employees nationwide, they utilise state-of-the-art technology and highly qualified staff to deliver industry-leading results.

This role involves carrying out gatehouse security duties at a client site in accordance with standard orders and site instructions. You will be responsible for managing vehicle movement, access control, and visitor passes, ensuring that everyone issued with a security access card has completed the relevant induction and provided the appropriate approved access level.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing vehicle movement, access control, and visitor passes
  • Identifying and reporting any security risks to the client contact and client services manager
  • Conducting internal and external foot patrols
  • Issuing permanent and temporary staff security access cards, contractor, and visitor passes
  • Monitoring WHS, CCTV surveillance, and responding to various site alarms
  • Providing daily communications diary, event logs, incident reports, breaches, foot patrol reports, readings, alarms, and checks
  • Providing perimeter security by ensuring no unauthorized access to the site or vulnerabilities to the physical and electronic security integrity of the Site perimeter
  • Responding to alarms generated by access systems, fire systems, building management control systems, CCTV systems, and any issues raised by staff or contractors
  • Surveillance and monitoring of all entry gates, Screening Area, Site buildings, and grounds via CCTV, access control system, and the visitor management system process
  • Traffic control - pedestrian and vehicle gates, intercoms, parking areas
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role(s)
  • Prior demonstrated experience in staff management & performance management
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar environment, managing client relationships
