Job Overview

The role of the Registered Midwife is to deliver safe and effective clinical care in the Maternity service. The successful candidate will collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes.

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of direct care.
  • Engage in reflective practice and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Relevant tertiary degree qualification and registration as a Registered Midwife.
  • Ability to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Pass pre-employment screening, including Criminal History checks.
  • Meet vaccination requirements for Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • Complete a period of probation.
