Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a skilled and dedicated Estimator to enhance our contracting division. Reporting directly to the Estimating Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to provide timely estimates and quotations while managing the profitability of orders and acceptances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate requests for quotation (RFQ) and estimates, preparing and issuing quotes as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs to ensure alignment with purchase orders.
  • Engage with builders to follow up on quotes.
  • Oversee margin control and the order acceptance process, ensuring accurate take-offs reflect customer orders.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all quotation and delivery requests for the assigned customer portfolio.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and direct them to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Keep IT systems updated with the progress of quotations and deliveries for precise reporting.
  • Collaborate with take-off providers on estimating-related tasks and other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager of Contracting Support Services.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in estimating and proficiency in reading building plans is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A motivated team player eager to contribute to a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines effectively and accurately.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and highly numerate with a strong process orientation.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong personal drive and results-oriented mindset.
