We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Brisbane, Australia.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading water industry specialist and contribute to the delivery of significant projects for public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead national multi-disciplinary teams to deliver project goals.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients and vendors, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation that effectively communicates complex information to technical and non-technical clients.
  • Conduct field and desktop investigations to assess electrical infrastructure condition, appropriateness, and capacity.
  • Develop detailed documentation and specification requirements for Electrical components to support procurement and project delivery.
  • Apply technical and commercial acumen to achieve successful project outcomes for clients.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity and a commitment to continued professional development and improvement as an engineering professional.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge of electrical safety principles, including protection, arc flash, earthing, hazardous areas, and machine safety.
  • Participate in identifying and resolving project safety risks through contemporary Safety in Design methods, ensuring legislative compliance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or working towards achieving this registration.
  • A minimum of 7 years' relevant professional experience, with experience in the water industry preferred.
  • A strong understanding of standards, conceptual, and detailed design, and design management of Electrical infrastructure, particularly relating to the water utility sector.
  • Experience in designing LV and ELV electrical systems, PLC/telemetry, and Instrumentation and Control.
  • Emerging experience in project management.
  • The ability to provide technical contributions to proposals and consultations with clients in an effective and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
