We are seeking a skilled Dogger/Rigger with experience in a construction environment to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a Construction White Card (General Construction Induction Card) and a Dogging and Rigging HRW licence with a minimum of 2 years of practical experience. Holding a current Slewing Mobile Crane (CO) HRW licence and/or a Fitter (or similar) trade qualification will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Selection and Preparation: Select, inspect, and prepare appropriate rigging equipment for safe and efficient use.
- Load Inspection and Preparation: Inspect and prepare loads for transportation and installation.
- Heavy Equipment Operation: Maneuver loads using heavy equipment and manually, ensuring safe and efficient movement.
- Rigging Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Plan Interpretation and Setout: Interpret plans and set out to ensure accurate and efficient construction.
- Steel Erection: Assist in the erection of steel structures, ensuring safe and efficient construction.
- Small Site Fabrication Tasks: Perform small site fabrication tasks, including welding and assembly.
- Crane Operation: Operate cranes safely and efficiently, if appropriately licensed.
- Team Communication: Communicate effectively with the Rigging and Construction team to ensure smooth project execution.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain excellent attention to detail, quality, and safety standards throughout all aspects of the job.
This is a full-time permanent position within our team. To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated and willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and the highest quality workmanship are paramount.
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, which includes functional, audiometric, and drug and alcohol testing.
