Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our manufacturing team in Sydney, Australia.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality products under stringent quality standards.

Our AI-powered operating system enables real-time command and control centers, transforming how military systems are designed, built, and sold.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on assembly and integration efforts
  • Build, test, and integrate electro-mechanical assemblies into world-class products
  • Assemble metallic and composite structures, hydraulic systems, and machined parts, modifying off-the-shelf components as needed
  • Contribute to manufacturing life cycles by providing feedback to engineering teams on design and assembly improvements
  • Help develop, document, and improve workflows and documentation
  • Interact with digital MES/ERP systems for work order tracking, inventory control, and quality reporting
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Fitter and Turner or similar
  • Experience working in factory environments on automotive, marine, aerospace, or industrial equipment
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and proficiency in hand tool use for metal/composite part assembly
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, equipment schematics)
  • Commitment to high-quality products and strong personal accountability to meet timelines
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, and pride in work
  • Eligibility for NV1 security clearance (status not required at time of hire)
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in mechatronics and robotics, particularly with drones, electro-mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Prior experience working with JIRA, Teamcenter (PLM), or NetSuite (ERP) or equivalents
  • Experience with low-volume/high-mix manufacturing and proactive attitude to solve assembly problems
