We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Specialist to join our team at the NSW Government.
About the Role:
- This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified trade professional to work in a dynamic environment, supervising inmates and ensuring quality control across various trades.
- The successful candidate will have extensive post-trade experience and be willing to undertake relevant training as required.
- A competitive salary of $88,178 per annum, plus incidental allowance, superannuation, and leave loading, makes this a rewarding career choice.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise inmates in various trades, including textiles, construction, supply chain, warehouse logistics, building, carpentry, waste management, recycling, cleaning operations, horticulture, agriculture, laundry operations, electrician, plumber, HVAC, and mechanical fitter.
- Ensure quality control and compliance across all trades.
- Train and supervise inmates to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Current Certificate III or higher in a relevant trade or tertiary qualification in any of the listed trades.
- Other licences: Licence required for electrician, plumber, and HVAC.
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required.
