About the Role


As a Registered Nurse on our General Medical and Surgical Ward, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care to individuals on the ward. Your expertise, empathy, and commitment to patient well-being will make a significant impact on the lives of those in your care.



Key Responsibilities



  • Patient-Centered Care: Provide compassionate and individualized nursing care to patients, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.


  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients, sharing knowledge, skills, and expertise to achieve optimal care.


  • Safety First: Prioritize patient and staff safety while maintaining the highest standards of care, adhering to industry regulations and guidelines.


  • Team Leadership: Assume a leadership role by supervising and guiding nursing team members, including Enrolled Nurses (ENs), to deliver top-quality patient care.


  • Patient Education: Empower patients with education and support for their health recovery and overall well-being, promoting autonomy and self-management.




Essential Criteria



  • Current AHPRA Registration: Hold a current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.


  • Clinical Experience: Bring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience to the role, with a strong foundation in general medical or surgical nursing.


  • Commitment to Quality: Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to delivering quality patient care in accordance with industry standards.
