About the Position: We are seeking a qualified Healthcare Leader to provide clinical support and oversight for our Health Information and Advice Service across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert clinical input and oversight across all channels of the Health Information and Advice Service (telephone, web, and app) to ensure sound clinical governance principles and safe, effective, appropriate, consumer-focused, accessible, and efficient services.
  • Strong focus on patient safety, quality management, health policy, negotiation, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders and service providers for existing services and the development of new services.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and analyses risks inherent to operations of the healthdirect service.
  • Leads and participates in various work streams, committees, and forums.
  • Ensures effective and efficient procedures and processes are in place for clinically safe services.
  • Contributes to strategies that ensure the provision of quality, effective, and efficient service.
  • Drives continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of services.

What We're Looking For:

  • A healthcare professional background with current AHPRA registration.
  • Extensive clinical practice experience (primary care, secondary care, population health).
  • In-depth understanding of the health sector in Australia, including the primary and community care sectors in health.
  • Excellent understanding of quality and safety and clinical governance, specifically as it relates to telehealth.
  • Practical experience leading and managing clinical responsibility, including reporting against clinical governance protocols.
  • Demonstrated experience in telehealth service delivery.
