Unlock Meaningful Impact in Paediatric Mental Health

Embark on a fulfilling career in a supportive, affirming, and fun environment at Burnside. If you are passionate about working with neurodiverse paediatric clients and thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting, this opportunity aligns with your aspirations.

Key Highlights:

  • Emphasise neurodiversity-affirming practice, moving away from intensive therapy approaches, in a play-based, child-focused environment.
  • Collaborate with a team of 30+ dedicated professionals, including Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Psychologists, and a strong social media and admin support team.
  • Enjoy flexible work options, starting with 3-4 days per week, with opportunities to increase your days as desired, and choose between contracting or salaried positions to suit your preferences.
  • Benefit from competitive remuneration, with contracting roles offering a flexible session fee split of 60/40 to 70/30, negotiable based on experience, and session fees between $215-$240. Salaried positions offer attractive packages from $110k to $130k per year, depending on experience.
  • Experience a supportive environment with full administrative support, regular team meetings, professional development opportunities, including quarterly PD days and team-building activities.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, providing therapy to paediatric clients and their families, with a caseload of around 5-6 clients per day in both face-to-face and telehealth settings.

Your Role:

  • Deliver high-quality psychological services to children and families within a neurodiversity-affirming framework.
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive, holistic care.
  • Conduct psychometric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Psychology.
  • Registration: AHPRA Clinical Psychologist.
  • Eligibility: Unrestricted Australian working rights and eligibility to obtain Medicare provider numbers.
  • Preferred: Experience in paediatric settings.
  • Highly Desirable: Experience in private practice, conducting psychometric assessments, and working with neurodiverse clients.

Contribute to a team that values collaboration and a child-centred approach, making a real difference and advancing your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
