About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Training Platform team at SafetyCulture, you'll be working on a major project to migrate a legacy app to SafetyCulture's infrastructure. Your expertise in C#/.Net languages and SOLID Principles will be essential in introducing Kafka capabilities and enhancing the performance and scalability of the SafetyCulture Training platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Migrate a legacy app to SafetyCulture's infrastructure
  • Introduce Kafka capabilities to the SafetyCulture Training platform
  • Mentor colleagues and lead the team on technical decisions
  • Own the delivery of complex features
  • Work in a hybrid working environment, including at our HQ in Surry Hills, Sydney
  • Demonstrate SafetyCulture values: Think Customer, Open Honest Always, Better as a Team, Be Bold Bring Action

You may be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Depth of knowledge in C#/.Net languages and SOLID Principles
  • Past re-platforming project work experience, particularly in infra migrations from a monolith to microservice
  • Previous experience working in fast-paced environments in increasing senior roles, particularly in SaaS companies
  • Ability to leverage technical knowledge into leadership experience within an engineering team
  • Experience with infrastructure technologies: Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Terraform
