Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. This role requires a leader with a passion for innovation, creativity, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of employees in the Kitchen Team, ensuring high-quality pastry and dessert preparation. Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is located in the historic Rocks district, offering breathtaking views of the Harbour and bustling CBD. Our hotel embodies the essence of luxury, with chic rooms and suites, award-winning restaurants, and a street-front bar that are destinations unto themselves. As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will have the opportunity to create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative menu designs for pastry creations, ensuring high quality and optimal menu engineering
- Coordinate food preparation for the pastry section of the kitchen
- Prepare and present all food related to the pastry section of the kitchen
- Maintain high standards of quality and manage food safety components in line with local regulations and company procedures
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints
- Liaise effectively with the remainder of the organization
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience leading a Pastry Team in a high-quality hotel operation
- Excellent communication skills to foster a high-trust environment with strong engagement and teamwork
- Superior knowledge of pastry crafts, as well as administration and management skills
- A proven ability to lead effectively in various situations, with operational and guest needs at the forefront
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to increase efficiency and productivity
- Strong leadership and communication skills
