At BTI Executive Search, we are partnering with a leading mining technology company in Sydney West to find an exceptional High Frequency Radio Systems Specialist.

We are seeking an experienced engineer with a passion for designing and developing high-performance radio frequency systems. If you have a strong background in product development and delivery, as well as expertise in project engineering and process control of magnetic resonance high frequency radio analyser systems, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and commissioning electrical and electronics systems for our client's products. You will apply your skills in engineering analysis, prototyping, risk assessment, and testing to ensure the reliability and accuracy of these systems.

In this role, you will focus on:

  • Designing DDS/PLL synthesiser systems
  • Developing high-performance receiver systems
  • Creating active and passive HF antennas
  • Working on naval and tactical HF/VHF systems
  • Implementing digital signal processing in FPGA and C
  • Capturing and verifying requirements
  • Laying out PCBs

To succeed in this position, you must have:

  • A University Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline with at least 2 years' experience;
  • Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic components;
  • Practical knowledge rather than just theoretical concepts;
  • The ability to work with interconnecting systems including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly verbal and documentation skills;

This role requires flexibility and a willingness to travel interstate and internationally periodically. The estimated salary range for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
