We are seeking a skilled Geology Technician to join our team at Genesis Minerals Limited. As a Geology Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting geologists with the collection, coordination, and communication of geological data for mine planning, exploration, and ore extraction.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and monitor the quality of drill holes, ensuring delivery of high-quality data and samples.
- Perform exploration-related activities, including RC and AC work, soil sampling, and drill site preparation and rehabilitation.
- Enter data accurately and efficiently using Excel and Log Chief software.
- Coordinate core yard activities effectively.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in work areas, including the sample preparation laboratory, light vehicles, and core yard.
- Support business improvement initiatives and carry out scheduled monthly safety audits/inspections.
- Driver's license (C Class, manual car) – essential.
- 2+ years of experience as a Geology Technician.
- Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks.
- High level of enthusiasm for the work with high performance goals.
- Well-rounded technical and geology software skills.
