Job Summary:

Bechtel is seeking a skilled Engineering Planner to join their team. As an Engineering Planner, you will work closely with the project team to develop and maintain the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) control schedule and Engineering progress and performance tool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare the Engineering progress and performance tool for the execution phase.
  • Ensure the definition, tracking, and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or milestones related to engineering deliverables.
  • Integrate the Level 5 engineering implementation schedule to the Level 3 master schedule for accurate monthly forecasting.
  • Coordinate inter and intra disciplinary engineering interfaces and dependencies within the schedule.
  • Ascertains that the correct scope of work is reflected on all schedules.
  • Integrates Engineering interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.
  • Establishes and implements methods for determining activity durations for engineering activities.
  • Develops required job/hour expenditure and forecast curves for the project.
  • Performs person-hour loading for project schedule.
  • Develops and prepares regular reporting on schedule progress and performance.

Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experienced in Level 1, Level 3 and Level 5 engineering schedule development and integration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
  • Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
  • Experienced in establishing and maintaining Earned Value Management Systems as they relate to progress and performance in Engineering projects.
  • Experienced and skilled user of Primavera P6, as well as proficiency in other tools for reporting and analysis, and their application on complex engineering projects.
