About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Consultant to join our IT Audit team at KPMG. As a Senior IT Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering a variety of Technology Risk assurance and advisory projects, including internal audit, external audit, attestation and first & second line technology risk advisory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Technology Risk Assurance and Advisory Projects: You will be responsible for delivering a variety of Technology Risk assurance and advisory projects, including internal audit, external audit, attestation and first & second line technology risk advisory.
  • Develop and Coach Team Members: You will develop, coach and mentor team members, providing stretch assignments to advance their capability.
  • Provide Technical Knowledge and Direction: You will provide technical knowledge, direction and training to engagement team members.
  • Support Engagement Managers: You will support engagement managers in the overall project management of engagements as well as the preparation of clear and concise reports to IT management and CIO's.
Requirements
  • Background in External/Internal Audit and/or Risk: You will have a background in external/internal audit and/or risk (ideally with a professional services firm) with a minimum of 2 years' experience. US-SOX accreditation is desirable.
  • Strong Technology Risk and Controls Knowledge: You will have gained strong technology risk and controls knowledge.
  • Exceptional Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: You will have exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Highly Developed Written and Verbal Communication Skills: You will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated Ability to Coach and Mentor: You will have demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and share expertise with team members to strengthen capability.
  • Tertiary Qualification in a Related Field: You will have a tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Information Systems, Commerce or other), CA or CISA equivalent or ability to obtain a CA or CISA.
