About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Employment Consultant.

Your primary role will be to support and guide clients in attaining suitable employment opportunities that lead to sustainable outcomes. You will work closely with clients, building rapport and assisting them in overcoming barriers to employment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to manage the referral and intake process of job seekers into their chosen program.
  • Assess job seeker skills, abilities, identify barriers, and develop intervention strategies.
  • In consultation with job seekers, develop and maintain work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions, and employment support activities.
  • Reverse market job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities.
  • Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the employment services sector is advantageous, but not essential, as we offer a comprehensive induction and support network.
