Locum Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join our team in Darwin, Northern Territory.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing occupational therapy services to adults and paediatric clients. The role will involve assessing and treating clients with a range of conditions, including speech and communication disorders, swallowing disorders, and paediatric speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat clients with speech and communication disorders, swallowing disorders, and paediatric speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of clients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote independence and self-management
Requirements:
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant state or territory regulatory body
- Experience working with adults and paediatric clients with speech and communication disorders, swallowing disorders, and paediatric speech and language disorders
- Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to travel to remote communities as required
