About the Role
Agri Talent is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Trials Assistant to join our client's dynamic team in Ulverstone, TAS. The successful candidate will be part of an expanding team responsible for developing and implementing trial and breeding plans, analysing data, writing reports, and participating in extension work.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Apply trial treatments and maintain trial sites
- Collect and analyse data from field and glasshouse trials
- Assist with trial establishment and planning development
- Manage and monitor trial/breeding plans
- Conduct research, including data collection and staff management
- Evaluate and report on trial outcomes
- Communicate findings to agronomists and farmers
About You
We are looking for an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills who thrives in a tight-knit team environment. Reliability, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous technical skill development are essential.
Requirements
- Experience in agriculture, including fieldwork and data analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to manage trials, write reports, and handle data accurately
- Willingness to learn and follow protocols
- Physical fitness and enjoyment of outdoor work
- Driver's licence (essential)
What We Offer
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
