Strategic AI Leader - Visionary for Innovation

We are transforming our business through Artificial Intelligence, leveraging our unique culture of innovation and leading through doing to drive transformative change in asset and employee productivity.

The key mission of this role will be to steer the roadmap, agile delivery, and adoption of AI software and systems to realise this vision.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop a compelling vision for AI systems and solutions and a value-based strategy, lead quarterly planning sessions and define objectives.
  • Establish business cases for new AI systems and solutions, including value opportunity sizing, delivery model, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Conduct data analysis and user research to define product requirements and features, including clear documentation to enable development.
  • Build, groom, and prioritise the product backlog, developing user stories and acceptance criteria to feed into each sprint and accepting sprint results.
  • Define, implement, and track performance metrics once solutions enter production, including adoption and impact.
  • In collaboration with technical leadership, define the set of necessary competencies and skills required in the delivery team.
  • Drive user adoption and engagement, running demos and showcases to target users and the broader organisation.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in either AI & analytics product development or mine operations technical disciplines, with technical project delivery experience.
  • Experience in cross-functional teams and ability to communicate effectively across multiple business areas, such as operations, technology.
  • Solid business understanding and high-level understanding of product delivery.
  • Modern product development toolkit, including experience in agile development, OKR methodologies, lean testing, and user research.
  • Experience in using AI solutions and systems to drive improvements to efficiency and productivity in mining or heavy industrial applications.
