Job Description:

This role involves working closely with experienced chefs, gaining practical skills, learning kitchen operations, and developing techniques. You will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals, learn various cooking techniques, ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, follow food safety and hygiene regulations, and participate in kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior chefs in meal preparation and presentation;
  • Learn and execute different cooking techniques under guidance;
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation;
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations;
  • Participate in inventory management and kitchen operations;
Requirements:
  • Possess a passion for cooking and interest in culinary arts;
  • Be willing to learn and take direction from experienced chefs;
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to excellence;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Complete relevant TAFE trade course requirements;
