Academic Position

We are seeking an exceptional academic to fill the role of a Sessional Lecturer in our Academic Department. As a key member, you will provide teaching and learning of the highest standard to our students, preparing them to become high-quality future practitioners.

About the Role

  • Support, guide, and manage students in a clinical setting.
  • Continuously assess students' clinical performance and provide support to those at risk.
  • Assist students in client treatment, including time management and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Foster a student-centered learning environment through positive interaction.
  • Stay updated on academic and industry developments in the relevant discipline.
  • Provide input to enhance programs based on various feedback sources.
  • Contribute to scholarly activities such as collaborations, conference presentations, publications, and marketing activities as required.
  • Ensure adherence to college policies and procedures.
  • Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Fulfill other duties assigned by academic management.

Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have unconditional registration with AHPRA as a registered Chinese medicine practitioner in the division of Acupuncture. Applicants with registration in Chinese herbal medicine and herbal dispensing may also supervise our 4th year Chinese Medicine students. We require someone with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal abilities. Previous experience collaborating with various stakeholders is preferred.
